This Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM, Dr. Bill Hammond invites you to a transformative experience in the Nature Speaker Series at Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium. Dr. Hammond will share an interactive, graphic-rich presentation focused on how Nature serves as a powerful medium for dissolving fear, doubt, and uncertainty—whether in our personal lives, relationships, or work, particularly during these times of rapid global change.

In this engaging session, Dr. Hammond will explore the deep connection between humans and the natural world, offering practical tools, exemplars, and actions that anyone can take—no matter where they are or what their background might be. The evening will feature real-life experiences that help unlock the power of nature as a healing tool and a catalyst for personal transformation.

You’ll also dive into the underlying theories behind how these practices work, making them accessible to people of all ages and genders. With an emphasis on empowerment, Dr. Hammond will inspire you to realize that you have the ability to create change in your life and your community, starting from within.

It’s not just about nature; it’s about nurturing yourself while you nurture nature. This is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, contribute your insights, and be part of a lively community conversation.

About Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium

Founded in 1969, the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium has served as Southwest Florida's premier environmental education destination for over 50 years. A 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, CNCP offers a sanctuary for both nature lovers and those seeking to deepen their connection with the environment. The center’s 105-acre campus is home to butterfly gardens, bird aviaries, nature trails, and the only public planetarium in the region.

Through engaging programs and immersive educational experiences, CNCP fosters environmental awareness, scientific discovery, and a lifelong love of nature, inspiring future generations of environmental stewards and advocates.

Donations to CNCP are tax-deductible, and sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available for those looking to make a significant impact on our mission.

Nurture Nature Campaign: Help Us Preserve Our Sanctuary

We’re excited with the success of our "Nurture Nature" Campaign in 2025, dedicated to improving CNCP’s facilities and educational programs. Your support will help us maintain essential infrastructure, repair boardwalks, preserve local wildlife, and expand our outreach efforts. This campaign is especially important as we work to create a deeper connection between local youth and the natural world—something that’s more vital than ever in an age where technology often pulls us away from nature.

Balancing self-care with environmental mindfulness is a beautiful way to nurture both yourself and the world around you. Just like choosing sustainable habits benefits nature, selecting the right hair salon in McLean can enhance your confidence while supporting businesses that prioritize quality and care. It’s all about finding harmony in the little choices we make every day!
