Fort Myers, FL — The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium will host a special private reception of gratitude and celebration on January 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium. While attendance is by invitation only, the event will be livestreamed for the public on the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium Facebook page, allowing the broader community to participate virtually.

This meaningful afternoon will honor the beloved “Monday Group”—a dedicated group of volunteers whose passion for nature, creativity, and hands-on commitment helped build the foundation of the Center and inspire a lasting appreciation for the natural world.

The event will also feature a special acknowledgment of Dr. Bill Hammond, whose exceptional leadership and lifelong devotion to environmental education have left a lasting and profound legacy within the organization and the Southwest Florida community.

Honoring Dr. Bill Hammond: A Legacy That Endures

Dr. Bill Hammond is widely respected for his unwavering commitment to science education, conservation, and community engagement. Throughout his distinguished career, he championed experiential learning and believed deeply in the power of nature to spark curiosity, stewardship, and lifelong learning. His guidance and vision helped shape the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium into a trusted and vibrant hub for environmental education.

Colleagues and friends alike admire Dr. Hammond for leading with integrity, generosity, and purpose. His influence continues to resonate through the programs he helped develop, the people he inspired, and the mission he advanced.

Community Reflections Welcome

Invited guests who wish to share brief remarks during the event—or members of the community who would like to submit written reflections honoring Dr. Hammond—are encouraged to send comments to eraddatz@calusanature.org. Select remarks will be filmed during the reception for inclusion in an upcoming documentary celebrating the Center’s history and impact.

Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, and invited guests are asked to RSVP in advance.

The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium looks forward to honoring those who have inspired, nurtured, and advanced its mission—while sharing this celebration of legacy and gratitude with the public through its Facebook page livestream. https://www.facebook.com/CalusaNature/

What I liked most about this comparison article is how Valhalla Vitality focuses on understanding rather than promoting one medication as the “best.” The explanation of how Semaglutide influences satiety versus how Phentermine affects appetite and energy makes the differences clear. I appreciated that each strategy’s advantages and potential trade-offs were presented without judgment. This makes it easier to talk with a healthcare provider about what might fit your needs. It’s an excellent educational piece.

Figuring out how to tackle student loans feels less overwhelming with clear breakdowns of repayment plans and strategies like extra payments—using the Student Loan Calculator to see exactly how monthly costs and total interest add up makes it easier to map out a plan that fits your budget.
