Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is proud to announce that our facility passed our first USDA inspection as part of the agency’s newest rules related to captive birds. These Federal regulations, adopted in 2023, ensure the humane handling, care, treatment, and transportation of birds regulated under the Animal Welfare Act. According to the inspector who conducted the site visit, only about 10% of facilities pass on the first visit, so we are extremely proud of Carrie Nameth, Wildlife and Education Director, and her team for this accomplishment. Their work to update our aviary and care for our rescued birds is certainly top notch! CNCP houses nine raptors who cannot be released in the wild due to injuries. Their welfare is our top priority and we are happy to see the hard work of our animal care staff and volunteers recognized.

Congratulations to everyone at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium for passing the USDA inspection on the first try—that's such an impressive achievement! It's clear that the team’s dedication to the welfare of the rescued birds really shines through. I’m sure the raptors and all the animals in your care benefit from the passion and hard work of Carrie Nameth and her team. It’s great to see the facility recognized for their efforts, and I’m sure this accomplishment will inspire even more people to support the important work you're doing! ragdoll hit
Passing a USDA inspection on the first visit is polytrack game such an incredible achievement—especially knowing how rare it is.
Snow Rider 3D’s minimalist design works well on mobile and browser platforms. It doesn’t try to be overly realistic — instead, it focuses on clean visuals that are easy to follow even at high speeds.
