Night Hike: Florida Frogs

How many species of frogs are found in FL? What is the most common Frog species? Why do Frogs croak & sing? This program will start with a short presentation about Florida frog species and then we will head out to the trail in search of frog calls and songs. Through a short hike & series of hands-on activities you will learn how frogs and toads are adapted to thrive in the darkness. This walk starts just after sunset and may not be appropriate for very young children. Please dress for the weather and leave flashlights and glow sticks at home to help preserve the nighttime experience. (Although this program will focus on frogs, we cannot guarantee will see or hear wild frogs and toads. It is completely up to the frogs and toads if they want to make an appearance.)
