Chris Whitt: Marine Biologist and Collection Assistant at the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium
Chris Whitt loves mollusks—and it shows. As a marine biologist and collection assistant at the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium, he’s spent the last four years sharing that passion with the public, especially through the Museum’s “Mollusks on the Move” program, which reaches over 14,000 kids each year. It’s all about mollusks and shells. We will go into depth about the different classes of mollusks, where shells come from, how they grow, and shelling in SW Florida.
