Incredible Insects!

Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

How many legs does an insect have? Did you know that butterflies taste with their feet? Come learn all about insects and their lifecycles, explore our Butterfly House, & plant a butterfly nectar plant to take home.

 

Each Preschool Program Adventure is designed to capture a preschooler's sense of curiosity and cultivate a connection to the natural world, each program will include a story, craft, & either a short hike or live animal encounter.

This program is for children ages 3-5 and includes one adult per child. The cost for this program is $8 for non-member, $5 for members and does not include museum admission.

Family Yoga

10 am Thursdays

In this class we explore yoga poses through stories and songs, connect with nature and have some fun with partner poses with your family. Also, we will learn mindfulness and meditation activities. Held outdoors in the Pine Pavilion. Bring yoga mat or towel, water and bug spray if you wish. Led by Shelly Sager, certified Kidding Around Yoga Teacher and RYT200.

Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and preservation. Our 105-acre site is home to many rescue animals, two nature trails, a planetarium theater, bird aviary, butterfly garden, and meeting areas.
